The Cali ACT Board and ACT Club Presidents met tonight – 19 March, 2020 – to discuss the current COVID-19 situation. For the health and safety of all our members the difficult decision was made to pause all face-to-face calisthenic classes in the ACT until Monday 27 April, 2020 (beginning of Term 2). Any classes held can only continue through online avenues should clubs decide. Any refunds, make-up classes or financial credits will be dependent on the individual Clubs.
As a result of the Australian Government’s ban on indoor gatherings of 100 or more, the decision was also made to cancel all Cali ACT Solo & Duo Competitions for 2020. We are expecting an update from ACF regarding the National Competitions within the coming days. The process for Cali ACT National Solo Selections will be advised after this information has been released. Cali ACT are working with myStage to develop a refund process for Solo & Duo entry fees and we will release details as soon as we have them.
These decisions were based on the Australian Government’s direction to minimise non-essential gatherings to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure.
Cali ACT are working with Clubs and Coaches to develop creative ways to keep our participants engaged, both physically and socially, across this difficult period.
We will keep you updated over the coming weeks. We are committed to supporting our community to have classes and competitions back on track as soon as it is safe to do so.
