The Calisthenics ACT Coaches Development Weekend will be held on Saturday the 24th of November 2018. Saturday’s Workshops will be held at Weetangera Primary School, 49-71 Southwell St, Weetangera ACT. Please register online via the Kickstart Registration Form for the workshops.
Saturday 24th November:
Session 1 – Injury Management, education, and ways to assist rehabilitation in training.
9:30am – 10:30am
Caitlin is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who is passionate about injury prevention and rehabilitation for dancers and athletes. Caitlin’s work has allowed her to work with both professional athletes and dancers to increase their performance ability both physically and mentally. Caitlin has a strong sporting and performance background including Calisthenics, dance and springboard and platform diving. Caitlin is an Honours Alumni from AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles and is the Intermediate State Team Co-coach (2018-2019). She fell into her passion of strength and conditioning through personal injury, quickly recognising a conditioned body is key for the longevity of a performing arts career.
Please Join Caitlin as she discusses and teaches coaches how to assist in injury management and prevention and how to assist in rehabilitation through training.
Session 2 - Fundamentals of Acrobatic Arts & Aerial Workshop

Please Join Holly while she takes coaches through the fundamentals of AcroDance and how to progress our dances to be able to perform more difficult Acro movements. Holly will then provide coaches with an hour intensive on how to teach Aerials.
Session 3 - Makeup Tutorial
Kim is a qualified, experienced makeup artist who has been working in the makeup industry for over 15 years. She has extensive experience in TV, theatre, fashion, SP FX, commercial, film and special occasion, is a qualified makeup trainer and has taught some of Canberra's leading makeup artists. Kim has 25 years Cali coaching experience and uses her knowledge of makeup application, Calisthenics and teaching makeup artists to provide you with the basic skills and knowledge required to apply appropriate makeup for Calisthenics.
Please join Kim as she provides an overview, demonstration and practical component which will cover the following topics;

This is an opportunity to learn what is currently available at Erindale theatre for our lighting. It is also an opportunity for Erindale Theatre staff to inform us on the best way to complete a lighting sheet so that we get what we want, and for them to let us know how they want cues for lighting, curtains and music called.
